To become a Certified Equine Hanna Somatics Educator (C.EHSE) you must complete all 3 Modules of the Professional Training Program plus an individual assessment. Each module builds on the last and is made up of online group trainings (mostly live sessions via Zoom) with some pre-recorded lessons.

The live 5-day Modules are taught concurrently once per year in May, from 9am-5pm Pacific Time. Each module includes (35 hours) of instruction, plus independent study and case work requirements. The rest of the year between modules is dedicated to honing your hands-on skills with several different horses.

You may only enroll in one module per year - there is no accelerated pathway, because while we can teach you the science, somatic techniques and proprietary EHS protocols - it is the actual doing of the work with many different horses that will teach you the Feel and how to embody the information.

Tuition for each module is $1000* USD.
(There is a sliding scale option available based on financial need, making the total tuition due anywhere from $750-$1000.)
*Students returning for modules 2/3 are offered the same tuition rate as when you started the program, btw!

This $200 application fee/deposit goes toward your tuition if you are accepted.

This application will give us an idea of where you feel you are right now, and why you are interested in becoming a Certified Equine Hanna Somatics Educator. Prior experience with Hanna Somatics is not required, however at least a basic level of horse experience IS required before beginning Module 1.

Step 1: (All Levels)

Click the black 'I want this' button and pay the $200 Application Fee. This fee will serve as your course deposit to hold your spot if you are accepted into the program, and goes towards your tuition fees. The $200 will be refunded (less processing fees) if the training is already full or your application is otherwise denied.

Step 2: (New Level 1 Students)*

Immediately after you pay your application fee, you will be redirected to a 3-page application form where you will enter your contact details, education, horse experience, and answer some questions about your professional goals. You MUST COMPLETE this second part of the application to be considered for the program!

*Returning students only need fill in the first page. ;)

Step 3: (New Level 1 Students)

Once both your Application Fee and Details are submitted and processed, we will contact you via email to schedule your telephone interview if you have not already completed it (for new Module 1 students). Returning students enrolling in Modules 2/3, or graduates are not required to repeat the phone interview, and will be automatically accepted.

Step 4: (All Students)

In April, we will send you the LINK to complete your enrollment in the online training program by paying the remainder of your Tuition Due. Once payment is processed, you will get access to the online course materials, detailed schedule for the LIVE portion of the course, and further instructions.
